Fermentation

The capacitive technology is particularly adapted for fermentation monitoring. The signal is not sensitive to gas bubbles, cell debris and other particles in suspension.

  • Precise and linear up to extremely high cell densities of bacteria, filamentous fungi or flocculating yeasts
  • Convenient for controlling a fed-batch process, a continuous fermentor or programming an induction time, based on a defined biomass target
  • Stable and accurate in high conductive media occurring in fermentation

Filamentous fungi fermentation monitoring

The Fogale signal is monitoring and optimizing :

• Cell growth on glycerol

• Induction time (T1)

• Fed-batch on methanol

• Harvest time (T2)
